I am a qualified Compliance professional specialising in implementing ISO Standards across a range of industries.
I am a certified ISO 9001, 14001, 27001, 13485 and 17025 Lead Auditor (International Register of Certified Auditors) with experience in Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, Customer Services, Food Packaging, Retail and Printing/Mailing.
I began my career as a Research Scientist working in Industry and followed this up with postgraduate research at Newcastle University which led to me being awarded a PhD. After postdoctoral research in collaboration with a global Healthcare company I returned to Industry and continued my career as a Scientist.
I became interested in the Quality and Regulatory aspects of pharmaceutical manufacturing and moved into a Quality Assurance role.
Qualification as an ISO Lead Auditor took me to numerous destinations across the UK, Europe and the USA and gave me invaluable experience in the regulatory requirements laid down by the MHRA and FDA.
I then moved into the Manufacturing arena and successfully implemented the BRC standard for Food Packaging for a start-up Business.
My next role took me into the Healthcare and Customer Services sector where I was responsible for introducing ISO9001 into a company with 10 sites across the UK, and managing the company Data Protection requirements for 27,000 patients.
My latest post involved the management of ISO9001, 14001, 18001 and 27001 in the Printing and Mailing industry, together with all GDPR legislation requirements.
